Today I diabled some certificates of my Firefox to remove some virus from the computer; so my laptop will not automatically go to certified websites, and have to ask for my permission anytime. Then accidentally, I found I have to go to *.google-analytics.com all the time either when I access to Gmail.com or blogger.com. I tried this website, but seems doesn't open to the public. what kind of this websites should be, and what is its analysis?
Anyone having idea?

Google Analytics is a tool to analyze your traffic. You can put a script on your blog to analyze this yourself for example. Many websites use it, and it's supposed to be one of the most objective trackers. I use it on a lot of my sites, also commercial ones. Nothing secret, did you do a search on Google Analytics before posting this?
Hi, Marc, thanks for the tip. Frankly speaking, I should have searched myself. It seems a good tool to analyze the traffic. But my question is why you will be directed to Google Analytics when accessing Gmail, too?
I think Google is also measuring its own traffic with the tool, and might measure how often you (as an individual user) use their services. Just a guess.
They recently upgraded the tool, It provides all kinds of interesting information. Where do people come from, how did they get to your site, how long do they stay etc.
